Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a full-time Front Desk Attendant to monitor and welcome guests in our high volume training facility and office in Tacoma, WA. The right candidate will have experience in a very busy environment that serves a variety of demographics.
Experience working in a government building, social services office, museum, courthouse, corporate complex or other large facility is preferred.
JOB DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Monitor and greet the public, assigning Visitor Badges, directing visitors to the appropriate meeting place and/or service, contacting staff when appointments arrive, taking messages, and preserving order.

Maintain knowledge of programs, services, building directories and room schedules.
·
Responsible for receiving packages and mail and contacting staff when it arrives.
·
Responsible for being a Safety Lead for fire/earthquake drills and real life emergencies.
·
Create and maintains badges, forms, reports, and other documents needed by staff in performance of department duties.
·
Call police or fire department in cases of emergency.
·
Can control and monitor foot traffic, ensuring that safety of all program participants and staff is a priority while still making visitors feel welcome and at ease.
Education and/or Experience: Prior experience as a receptionist and/or security and with customer service required.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
