Good morning!!
Happy Friday.
I have a geriatric woman and her middle aged son who are living out of their car. When I first took them on, they were brought in by a local pastor and he was allowing them to stay in his church. With an unhappy congregation and fear of being penalized by his insurance company they were asked to leave. I have provided multiple options for housing ideas for them in the past, and a few they turned down due to parking issues (they both have vehicles) and also, they want their own space and at the time were not willing to be housed unless they were together (I'm suspecting the son is wanting to be able to care for his aging mother.) Combined their income is $2,046. I'm not sure at to what their rental history looks like nor if they have any money saved up. They have been having a hard time finding places due to not being able to make the income requirements, as well as money up front. As far as I know, they don't have any evections and I'm not sure if they have money coming out for auto payments. We have also struggled finding subsidized due to the excessively long waitlist.
I was hoping someone might have some ideas or a direction to put them in.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
