1.  The National Low Income Housing Coalition's  Our Homes Our Voices week of action  is May 30-June 5.  This week of action is about taking action to put pressure on HUD to expand, not cut, federal funding for affordable housing.

Stina Janssen, the Community Organizer with the Resident Action Project (RAP) and the Washington Low Income Housing Alliance invites all participants in the Coalition to End Homelessness to participate in one or more small actions during the week of May 30-June 5.  Stina understands that the Coalition itself cannot take a position but that does not preclude those of you who participate from taking action.  Take a look at the Toolkit for suggestions.  Stina said some folks are taking pictures in front of the poster (in the Tool Kit and attached below) and sending those.

I've ordered 50 postcards for the May 31 Coalition to distribute at the End Homelessness meeting.  If you want your own set of postcards, contact Stina today - 360-301-3340.  

Stina would like to put something on the National Low Income Housing Calendar - I'm thinking "Participants in the Tacoma Pierce County Coalition to End Homelessness Sign Postcards at their May 31 meeting."  Please let me know if that wording is a problem.  It does not commit the Coalition and I'm assuming at least some of you will sign the ready made postcards.  You and/or your organization can also add your own events - here are the calendar links:   RAP calendar  and the NLIC calendar.
