The City’s Green Event Program helps events have a more sustainable impact on the environment. The program is mandatory for medium to large events (over 1,000 attendees) and requires an application
form consisting of a Scorecard Application, Waste Management Plan, and optional Environmental Services Event Support form for free or reduced in-kind services (trash, recycling, portable toilets). An Event Wrap-Up Form is also required.
Participating in the program allows events to earn recognition for their sustainable endeavors and furthers the sustainability vision of the community. Visit
www.cityoftacoma.org/GreenEvents to learn more,
or email sustainability@cityoftacoma.org.
