Seeking housing by Sherri Jensen (29 Oct 2019 17:42 UTC)

Hello Team!Valeo is in search of housing for a single adult male, working full-time. Nativity House bed date is expiring on the 31st. No issues with CD but not opposed to a sobriety house (he just doesn't have a program he needs to work).Ideal housing is studio or 1 bed, but that's ideal for all of our folks! Shared housing is great as well. Please respond to me directly if you have or know of any open beds.Thank you!Sherri Jensen (she/her/hers)

Is freezing nights 7 days a week?
Re: Homeless Coalition - Freezing nights by Martha Sheppard (29 Oct 2019 23:07 UTC)

Hi, Sharlene – and others who have a similar question:
Please keep in mind that Freezing Nights in Puyallup is now 7 days a week. However, the cold weather shelters are only on the days that the weather is at freezing or below (or 35 and wet/windy). I just wanted to clarify with the list at large because there was some confusion in another community conversation today.
Thanks,
Martha Sheppard

Pumpkin carving at Young Adult Shelter by Heather Fahsholtz (29 Oct 2019 22:51 UTC)

Good afternoon!!I wanted to share some of these pumpkins with everyone! These young adults had a blast carving pumpkins!! A giant thank you to Double R Farms off river road for the pumpkin donations!! All Terry asked was that we spread the word that they still have pumpkins. Their generosity and kindness has forever sold me on their business I must say!!Myself and some clients went with the van and spent some time picking our own pumpkins and loading them in. The clients got to experience something for the first time and some for the first time in a very long time. Their faces and their joy is enough to inspire more of these festivities in the future.I've attached some photos of the talent and some of our day center staff that participated!! We all had a great day in the goo!!
Thank you,Heather Fahsholtz253-328-3913
