Hello Pierce County Advocates --

Right now in Olympia budget writers are negotiating on how much funding to include for affordable housing and homelessness solutions. We have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to get $235 million of really smart investments included in the Supplemental Budgets, but we're going to need a huge push.

I am asking for you to sign your organization onto this letter of support for a big, bold budget that matches the House budget proposal. The House budget includes $100 million in new funding to be transferred to the Housing Trust Fund, in addition to our $10 million HTF ask for preservation of affordable homes. It also includes an increase for Housing and Essential Needs (HEN), increase in Consolidated Homelessness Grant funds, funding for Operations and Maintenance for Permanent Supportive Housing, $5 million for rental assistance for people on SSI, foreclosure prevention funding, funding for homeless youth programs, and several other great things. Pretty amazing altogether! If you think 30 quick seconds to sign a letter is worth $235 million for the more than 21,000 Washingtonians without a stable home, then have your org sign on!

Add your organization to the sign-on letter!

Thank you so much! This really is the time for our biggest push. Also, send an email to your lawmakers now if you haven't already. If you already have, send another one! Michele says we need thousands of emails, so let's not let her down.
