SHB 1590/Doglio Allowing the local option for a 1/10 of 1% sales tax for affordable housing and behavioral health facilities to be implemented councilmanically by local elected officials. ESHB 2849/Tharinger Concerning housing programs administered by the Department of Commerce. SHB 2384/Doglio Modernizing the property tax exemption for affordable rental housing for very low-income households. SHB 2634/Walen Creating a Real Estate Excise Tax exemption when selling to a nonprofit who acquires the property for affordable housing. EHB 2797/Robinson Making important fixes to HB 1406 re: the local sales and use tax for affordable and supportive housing. EHB 2610/Duerr Opportunity to purchase and preserve manufactured housing communities. HB 2948/Springer Granting additional and progressive tax authority for counties with populations exceeding two million and cities therein to impose an excise tax on businesses that addresses the affordable housing crisis and reduces homelessness through evidence-based practices that will save lives and improve public safety, while also ensuring certainty and predictability for businesses.
