Subject: United Way of Pierce County - COVID-19 Impacts & Response
As our community struggles to contain the spread of COVID-19, the United Way is reaching out to learn about the challenges and needs your organization is facing because
of this public health crisis and to share resources.
As schools and colleges move online and senior centers close, vulnerable populations lose access to needed meal programs and other services and supports.
Please
use this link if your organization has needs or challenges that we can promote with our stakeholders and donors. For example, shelters may need additional hygiene kits, hand sanitizer, etc. or food banks might be able to use volunteer drivers to drop food
boxes to those who cannot get out of their homes because they are high-risk.
Also, please keep 2-1-1 up-to-date on any agency closures or service impacts.
United Way of Pierce County’ s team is helping with statewide response efforts through support of the WA State Department of Health’s 1-800 service to answer questions/concerns
about COVID-19. If you or others have questions, please call 1-800-525-0127 for more information.
