Colleagues,
The Mayor's press conference is still going on but here are a few things you will want to know - I think I have these right but expect NCS will send a formal communication:

1.  The City is working on evictions and foreclosures and hopes to have an announcement soon.

2.  Tacoma Public Utilities Board has approved $1M fund residential relief.  They have suspended disconnections to all residents.

3.  The City will continue to fund all currently funded nonprofit service providers.
The City is reaching out to all nonprofits.
The City is relaxing data collection requirements on funded nonprofits.  Guidance is coming.
All currently funded nonprofits will be funded in the 20-21 budget without competitive bids.
There will be additional money for competitive bids for nonprofits not currently funded.

4.  City Hall is closing to the public tomorrow.  Essential services - i.e. garbage will be collected as usual.  911, 311, will continue to work.  (I think staff will work remotely but I missed that part.)

5.  United Way is collecting nonprofit needs and potential volunteers.

Some good news folks.  Keep up the advocacy with the City Council and staff.

And Take Care,
Maureen
