The court is not closed; it's just operating in a restricted way, with most hearings occurring telephonically or based solely on the written documents filed. The Governor's order does prohibit evictions based on nonpayment of rent or 20-day no-cause notices,
though, at least until April 17. The court is not hearing those cases, and the landlord should not file or serve such an eviction case.
