Hi all,
I've seen a few requests for wheelchairs and checked in with a friend who runs
Push International about whether or not they could meet any requests.
She believes they can spare a few and only asks that if you come across any or have a client who no longer needs their mobility device that you donate it to Push (they also accept items that are not in great condition or need repair - about half of their collection
are deemed not ready to use).
From Heidi (the President of Push):
When you have someone looking for a chair, ask their measurements and we could see if we have a fit for them.
The measurements needed would be:
- Waist, sitting, measure across the widest point of the hips
- Back of bottom to behind knee in sitting
- Back of bottom to shoulder.
You can contact her directly if you have a client in need: heidiv@pushinternational.org
Thanks,
Jess
