Hello all! We at Valeo Vocation are seeking hygiene packs and clothing essentials to assist with our YMCA Shower Share Program. Below is our needs list, a description of the program, hours of operation, and referral process.

What we Need:

Seeking a connection who can provide small men and/or women’s hygiene items. Item listed below would be greatly appreciated:

Feminine Hygiene Products

Dental Products

Soap / Shampoo

Washcloths

Deodorant 

Socks and Underwear

Standard Issue Sweatpants and T-shirts

About the YMCA/Valeo Shower Share Program:

The Shower Share Program is intended to fill the gap in community hygiene made by the lack of public shower systems available to homeless community members. 

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties has committed three Pierce County YMCA facilities to the Shower Share Program located in downtown Tacoma, Puyallup and the Lakewood Family Y. There will be five Shower Attendants, one Lead, and one Facility Manager onsite at all times with a Program Manager overseeing the program and visiting each location daily to ensure compliance with CDC health and safety protocols and guidelines, monitor daily schedule, collect required documentation, ensure medical screening docs secure, manage inventory. 

The operation will be as follows: 

· Each location will be staffed five hours a day from 10AM to 3PM, with 3-4 hour shower blocks, depending on the location 

o Tacoma Location will offer showers Mondays and Thursdays, 10:30AM to 2PM

o Puyallup Location will offer showers Tuesdays and Fridays, 10:30AM to 2PM

o Lakewood Location will offer showers Wednesdays, 10:30AM to 2PM

o Staff will be scheduled to be onsite for .5HR prior and post community shower
