Subject: Homeless Coalition - Facing Eviction/ Homeless in car/ Holiday meals
Hello friends-
1)
I am beginning to receive more and more phone calls from individuals and families facing eviction. Can somebody point me in the right direction as to whom I would refer these individuals to in order to keep from being evicted?
2)
I have three individuals (separate, different circumstances) living in their vehicle. All have income of at least $1300 monthly. All are single with no children in their custody. How can I direct them to find housing, of any kind? None
are able to pay a deposit, so I assume I am looking for help with deposit assistance. All have a previous eviction. Again, where do I refer to for resources? What steps do we take to remove eviction and help with deposit?
3)
Last question. The holidays are quickly approaching. Does anybody know of any organization providing holiday meals and/or gifts? Maybe we should put a list together of those resources. Maybe there already is one. Please let me know.
As usual, thank you for your help!!
