Dana,
I totally believe it is appropriate as many homeless families participate in both programs. The youth boxing program is in Hilltop and the kids I teach boxing
are all kids in disadvantage. The Zumba team brings joy to people experiencing problems. We’ve taken ZUMBA to a next level by visiting foster care programs and have done many events for the homeless populations. I take the opportunity to talk with them about
the services we have at our 11st clinic that includes free showers and laundry services. Currently I have the Managed care health plans visiting the site educating the populations on health insurance and bringing important thing they need for the cold weather
like socks, coats, back packs and hygiene products.
Doesn’t everything we can do for this population count as a resource?
