Metropolitan Development Council in partnership with Associated Ministries and the Tacoma Ministerial Alliance will hold a public meeting on December 18, 2019, from 6:15 to 8:30 p.m. at the Eastside Community Center, 1721 E. 56th St., to discuss the issues and possibilities related to the establishment of additional temporary shelter sites for people who are currently experiencing homelessness within the Tacoma city limits.

The meeting will begin at 6:15 p.m. with food, followed by a structured conversation to talk about potential sites for temporary shelter as well as how volunteers and community members could help to provide safe, dry, and warm shelter for people who are not currently housed in our city.
